Touch-typing tutor for ages 7–12

A serious typing tutor. Every word is Scripture.

Scripture Typer teaches children real touch typing — home row first, accuracy before speed, and lessons that adapt to each child's hands. While other typing sites fill the screen with ads and pop-culture prompts, every word your child types here comes from the Bible.

Why families switch

The wholesome alternative

Most typing sites earn their keep with ads, pop-culture prompts, and races against strangers. If you have tried TypingClub or Nitro Type and winced, this is the alternative built for your family: no ads, no strangers, and not one sentence you would not read aloud at the dinner table.

Why families switch

A truly adaptive engine

Scripture Typer watches how each child actually types — every key, every common letter pair — and builds their next lesson from it. Weak keys come back for gentle review on a schedule; strong keys make room for new ones. No two children get the same lesson plan.

Why families switch

Honest pedagogy

Home row first, because fingers need a map before they need a stopwatch. Speed goals only open after 95% accuracy. And we report net words per minute — mistakes counted — because a typing certificate should mean what it says.

Safety

Built so you never have to hover

You should not need to sit beside a typing program to make sure it behaves. Here is exactly how Scripture Typer is put together — and what we never collect.

No ads, ever

Your subscription is the business model. Nothing on the screen is trying to sell your child anything.

No child accounts

Children never sign up, never enter an email, never submit anything about themselves. You create their profile — a first name or nickname, an avatar from our palette, and a 4-digit PIN you set.

No strangers

Races and leaderboards are family-only out of the box. Networks for co-ops are created by a parent, joined by invite link, and every family must be approved by the network creator before anyone appears on the board.

Parental consent by construction

We designed for COPPA the structural way: every piece of information about a child is provided by a parent, inside an account the parent owns. There is no moment where a child can hand us personal information directly.

Offline

Built for the kitchen table — and the cabin

Scripture Typer installs as an app and keeps working when the internet doesn't. Lessons, drills, and the Scripture text itself are stored on your device, so practice continues through spotty rural internet, road trips, and co-op mornings in a church basement. Results sync the moment you're back online — nothing is lost, nothing is counted twice.

Record keeping

Homeschool records, handled

Your parent dashboard tracks what matters — net words per minute over time, accuracy, weak keys, streaks, and minutes practiced — per child. When portfolio season comes, print a clean semester report that documents your keyboarding instruction. It's the record-keeping tool we couldn't find anywhere else, so we built it.

How it works

Five minutes to the first lesson

One parent account runs the whole household. Children unlock their own profile with a PIN you set — no child emails, no child passwords, nothing to manage but practice.

Step 1

Create your free parent account

Step 2

Add a learner — pick a name, an avatar, and a PIN

Step 3

Your child starts Unit 1 free, and the adaptive engine starts learning their fingers

Step 4

Watch real progress on your dashboard; upgrade only if it earns it

Who it serves

Built for families who take both typing and Scripture seriously

Homeschool families

Typing is one of the few subjects that truly needs a screen. Make that screen time count twice: a real keyboarding credential for your records, built entirely on the Book you are already teaching.

Co-ops and church groups

Start a private typing network for your co-op. You share one invite link, you approve each family that asks to join, and the kids cheer each other on from a leaderboard no stranger can see.

Christian schools

A keyboarding program you never have to pre-screen. No ads to block, no chat to monitor, no surprise content — every drill and every passage comes from Scripture.
